Historical Adelaide Tours
Historical Adelaide Tours takes you to a number of locations within the square mile of Adelaide and along the banks of the Torrens River and informs you of some of the unusual deaths which have occurred since the proclamation of South Australia in 1836.
Each tour is approximately 70 – 80 minutes in duration and are suitable for people 14 years and over. Each separate tour commences and concludes at the same location.
The tours focus on a number of different deaths, including murders, some of which are still unsolved today, suicides, preventable and unexplained deaths.
Some of the locations where these murders took place include, Adelaide Oval, the Torrens River, Government House, Adelaide Arcade and the Adelaide Central Market.
Some of the stories about murders within Adelaide include the story of one of Adelaide’s serial killers who was hung at the Adelaide Goal after committing five murders, the world-famous juggler who killed his wife at Adelaide Arcade, and the murder of a Police Inspector at Government House.
Learn about the woman who was accidentally shot in the buttocks at Adelaide railway station, the milliner who died in hospital after being severely burnt at her workplace and the man who committed suicide by shooting himself in the head at the city watch house after being interview by police for the murder of his wife
